Vietnam-Mexico trade exchange hits record

Two-way trade between Vietnam and Mexico in 2011 surpassed 1 billion USD for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 14 percent.

The Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy inMexico announced on Feb. 16 that Vietnam ’s export turnover to thesecond-largest country in Latin America reached 973.2 million USD, anincrease of 16.4 percent, while import turnover reduced almost 19percent to 64.1 million USD.

Trade Counsellor ofthe Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico , Hoang Anh Dung, said that Vietnam’s exports to Mexico have increased each year in conformity with theeconomic development and trade exchange policies of Mexico .

In 2011, the total trade turnover of Mexico was over 700 billion USD./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
