Vietnam learns from Australia’s press management experience
A delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications paid a working visit to Australia from July 25-31 to learn from the country’s experience in press management.

A delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications led by Deputy Minister Truong Minh Tuan paid a working visit to Australia from July 25-31 to learn from the country’s experience in press management.
The visit also aimed to explore opportunities to promote information partnerships between the two countries.
During their stay, Vietnamese delegates worked with representatives from Australia’s Department of Information, the Canberra Times, ABC Communications Group and Telstra Telecommunications company, during which they discussed issues related to State management in broadcasting and television sectors, social network management, current regulations and laws applied to Pay-TV and the law on press.
According to Deputy Minister Tuan, the visit is useful for Vietnam as the country is working on revised its law on press and implementing a press plan by 2025 given Australia’s experience in the field.
The country set up strict regulations in managing social networks, especially foreign ones, Tuan said.
He stressed that Vietnames♈e authorities can refer to Australia’s methods to manage pres🅘s activities, build Vietnam’s press law and restructure the broadcasting and television industry.-VNA
