Vietnam, Laos boost auditing cooperation

The agreement wasreached at the February 18 talks in Vientiane with the participation ofVietnamese State Auditor General Nguyen Huu Van, who is leading adelegation to Laos from February 18-22.

Van andhis Lao counterpart Viengthong Siphandone informed each other of thesocio-economic situation in their respective countries, and at the sametime showed their pleasure at the effective collaboration in the sphereover the past time.

The two bodies havewitnessed regular exchanges of high-ranking delegations, which will bemaintained during 2014, as well as shared experience and documents inauditing-related issues.

The State Audit ofVietnam (SAV) is scheduled to join leaders from the state audit agenciesof Laos and Cambodia at their sixth joint conference in Vientiane inthe coming time. The Lao side will also visit Vietnam to attend aceremony marking the 20 th founding anniversary of the SAV.

As a member of the International Organisation of Supreme AuditInstitutions (INTOSAI), the SAV has so far signed cooperation deals withover 30 audit institutions around the world.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
