Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam officially launched the postage stamp “Welcometo APEC Vietnam 2017” on November 6 in response to the APEC Economic Leaders’Week.
At the launching ceremony, Minister of Information and Communication TruongMinh Tuan said that this was the second time in 11 years that Vietnam waschosen to host APEC events after 19 years as a member of the forum.
Designed by painter To Minh Trang, the stamp symbolises APEC Vietnam 2017 with stylisedimages of oars and lac birds on Dong Son bronze drum together with 21 sun raysrepresenting the 21 APEC member economies.
Tuan said the stamp will help realise APEC Vietnam 2017’s theme “Creating NewDynamism, Fostering A Shared Future”.
The stamp also helps popularise images of Vietnam as a country withcomprehensive integration into global economy. Notable, domain name “.vn” onthe stamp will create opportunities for local enterprises.
The stamp includes one sample valued at 3,000 VND.-VNA
