Vietnam, Germany share education, culture policymaking

The delegationdiscussed with the German parliament’s Committee on Culture andCommunications policies to conserve tangible and non-tangible culturalheritages and digitise parliament libraries.

The host noted their readiness to share experience with Vietnam to boost the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership.

In a separate working session, the German Parliament’s Committee onEducation, Research and Technology Assessment and the Vietnamesedelegation pledged to broaden cooperation in education and scientificstudies, including vocational training.

They sharedthe view that increased teachings of German at schools in Vietnam andVietnamese language and culture to Vietnamese students in Germany willbenefit bilateral ties in the future.

Talking withthe Vietnamese guests, Berlin State Secretary for Education, Youth andScience Sigrid Klebba said the majority of Vietnamese students inGermany are performing well academically.

She alsoexpressed her interest in adding Vietnamese culture and language intoBerlin schools as optional subjects, adding that she is working closelywith the Vietnamese embassy in this regard.

Duringthe stay, the Vietnamese delegation also held a working session withPotsdam University and visited the Vietnamese embassy in Berlin.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
