Vietnam-France career day to offer chances for skilled workers

HCM City (VNA) – The sixth Vietnam-France career day is scheduled to take placein Hanoi on May 11 and Ho Chi Minh City one week later, heard a pressconference on the event in HCM City on May 9.

The eventwill be organised by the FrenchChamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) and the FrenchEmbassy in Vietnam.

French Consul General in HCM City Vincent Floreani said the annualevent, first held in 2014, aims to create favourable conditions for French andVietnamese businesses to meet and recruit young skilled Vietnamese workers whoare capable of working in international environment.

It alsohelps candidates and former students of educational programmes undercooperation between the two governments, understand market trends and seek jobopportunities.

More than40 Vietnamese and French firms will participate in the event. They mostlyoperate in the fields of education, trade, services, accounting, auditing, informationtechnology, engineering, construction, logistics, tourism and hotel.

Theprogramme in Hanoi and HCM City is expected to attract about 700 job seekers thisyear.

CCIFV PresidentThibault Giroux said participants could explore new occupations and joinworkshops at the event to enhance communication capacity and gain experiences.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
