Hanoi (VNA) – President of theVietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Do Van Chien on December 7 metwith Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane, who is on an official visit to Vietnam.
Xaysomphone Phomvihane said during his visit, madeat the invitation of NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the two sides reviewed thegreat friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao Parties, States and people, and agreed to further enhance the relationshipin the time ahead.
Speaking highly of cooperation between the Lao Frontfor National Construction (LFNC) and the VFF, the Lao leader expressed his hopethat the two sides will continue effectively implementing their reached cooperationagreements.
The two agencies should tighten coordination in thecoming year, and step up the education and communication work among youngpeople, thus contributing to promoting the great friendship, special solidarityand comprehensive cooperation.
For his part, Chien said the VFF at all levels willput forth a plan to expand exchanges between residents along the shared borderline.
Chien noted his belief that Xaysomphone Phomvihanewill continue giving good sentiments to front officials, helping the two sidesbetter materialise guidelines reached by high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and States./.
