Vietnam Expo 2019 opens in HCM City

HCM City (VNA) – The 2019 VietnamInternational Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo) kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City onDecember 4.

The event, the 17th of its kind held in thecity, features 900 booths of 850 exhibitors from 20 countries and territories.

It is divided into respective exhibiting areas,including the hardware & hand tools expo, with 400 pavilions, the Vietnamelectrical appliance expo and the garden & lands care zone.

Pham Dang Khanh, Deputy General Director ofthe Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company (Vinexad), one of theorganisers, said the annual event aims to attract foreign businesses which areready to collaborate with Vietnamese partners in various sectors.

Notably, the exhibition zone of theRepublic of Korea this time sees the participation of more than 120 firms ofthe country’s technological and industrial hubs such as Seoul, Suwon, Incheonand Daejeon.

The expo will run until December 7./.

🤡 Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
