Vietnam enters 62th day with no COVID-19 community infections

Vietnam has no COVID-19 cases to report over the last 12 hours, keeping the national tally at 1,192, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported on November 3.

Hanoi(VNA) – Vietnam has no COVID-19 cases to report over the last 12 hours, keepingthe national tally at 1,192, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reportedon November 3.

Of the total, 691cases were locally infected, including 551 caseslinked to the COVID-19 outbreak in Da Nang.

The country hasgone through 62 consecutive days without local transmissionswith all coronavirus hotspots brought under control.

Among the activecases, nine have tested negative for the virus once, seven twice and sixthrice. There are no patients under critical conditions and the number ofrecoveries has reached 1,065.

The death tollremains at 35.

As many as 14,775people having close contact with COVID-19 patients or entering Vietnam frompandemic-hit areas are under quarantine at hospitals, state-designated centres or home./.
