Vietnam deploys corvette to ADMM-Plus exercise

Hanoi (VNA) –Vietnamese corvette 381 sailed for Brunei and Singapore on April 28 to take part in military exercises aꦺs part of the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM+).

This is the first time the Vietnam People’s Navy has sent a warship to international manoeuvres.
Between May 2 and 15, the ship will participate in a marine security drill in Brunei and an anti-terror drill in Singapore. The drills will gather 19 warships and 15 aircraft from ADMM+ members.
The ADMM+ Maritime Security and Counterterrorism Exercise was developed based on the ADMM+ Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief and Military Medicine Exercise held in Brunei in 2013. The ADMM+ is a platform for ASEAN and its eight Dialogue Partners – Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Russia and the US – to strengthen security and defence cooperation.-VNA
