Vietnam delegation commemorates Karl Marx

Many representatives from theBritish and international communist parties were present at the ceremonyto commemorate Marx, who died on March 14, 1883.

ViceChairwoman of the Communist Party of Britain Liz Payne praised Marx,Friedrich Engels and Vladimir Lenin for their fight against theoppression of women, saying that the works left by these eminentthinkers remain valuable today and encourage women in the fight forequality.

The event also created a chance for internationalcommunists to commemorate soldiers who devoted their whole life to thestruggles for independence, liberty and the interests of the workingpeople, such as Vietnamese General Vo Nguyen Giap, South AfricanPresident Nelson Mandela and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

Born in 1818 into a middle-class family in Germany, Karl Marx is amongthe most influential socialist thinkers to emerge in the 19th centuryand one of the founders of communism.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
