Prague (VNA) -🦋 Representatives of the Ministry of Construction and the National Assembly (NA)'s Economic Committee held a meeting with those from the Ministry for Regional Development of the Czech Republic (MRD) on September 4, as part of their working trip to Europe.

During the working session, the Czech Republic's Deputy Minister of Regional Development Radim Srsen introduced the main areas of responsibility of the MRD, including planning regional development policies, housing policies, housing fund development, spatial planning, and construction. The ministry also plays a national coordination role, and is responsible for establishing a unified framework to manage development funds in the Czech Republic, connecting with the European Union (EU)'s funds, reducing development gaps among regions and bringing the Czech economy closer to EU standards, he said.
For his part, Vietnamese Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi expressed his impression of the development in Prague.
He highlighted the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, especially as the two countries will celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025, expressing a hope that the two sides will enhance experience sharing in urban space planning, urban management, and housing development. The two sides discussed legal regulations related to the urban planning system of the Czech Republic, requirements in urban planning management for specific areas; supervision of planning implementation, controlling urban architecture and urban planning implementation plans; and decentralisation in urban planning./.
