Vietnam Cycle 2018 to open in Hanoi

The Vietnam International Bicycle Exhibition (Vietnam Cycle) 2018 and the Vietnam International Sport Show 2018 will take place in Hanoi from November 15-18.

Hanoi (VNA) – The VietnamInternational Bicycle Exhibition (Vietnam Cycle) 2018 and the VietnamInternational Sport Show 2018 will take place in Hanoi from November15-18. 

Themed “Vietnam Cycle – the non-stop wheels”,the cycling event is expected to attract over 100 domestic and foreign brandsfrom Malaysia, Thailand, and China. 

Nguyen Khac Luan, General Director of theVietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company (Vinexad), said theannual Vietnam Cycle is a vanguard trade promotion event in bicycles, electricbicycles, and spare parts in the country. 

He said big names like GIANT, Dong Minh electricbicycles, and Sufat electric motorbikes will be on display, together with spareparts by Emotovn and BQL company, among others. 

This year, the antique bike club will also introducemany models to the public. 

Statistics from the Ministry of Industry andTrade (MoIT)’s Vietnam Directorate of Market Surveillance showed that there areover 3 million two-wheeled vehicles nationwide, nearly 70 percent of themelectric motorbikes. 

According to Vietnam Auto Motorcycle andBicycle Association (Vamoba), about 500,000 units of electric bicycles andmotorbikes were sold last year, up 30 percent from 2016. The electric bikes aremostly used by students and middle-aged women thanks to their compact designsand reasonable prices. 

Malaysia’s Tanlan and Thailand’s Lotus N Lotuswill showcase special designs at the event. 

The event will be co-organised by the Vinexadand the Vamoba under the patronage of the MoIT and the National Traffic SafetyCommittee. –VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
