Speaking at theopening ceremony on Nov. 8, President of the Saint Petersburg Chapterof the Overseas Vietnamese Association Le Dinh Vu said that through theVietnam Culture Day, the chapter wants to introduce Russian friends tothe beauty of Vietnamese land and hospitable people and further enhancethe traditional friendship and mutual understanding between the twopeoples.

Vietnamese envoy to Russia Nguyen Ngoc Binh emphasised that holdingcultural exchanges such as this and the Hanoi Day in Russia , and theRussia Culture Day and Moscow Day in Vietnam , helps consolidatetraditional friendship between the two countries.

This is the first time Vietnam Culture Day was held in Saint Petersburg, with the assistance of Russian relevant agencies and friends, headded.

The event includes an exhibition of products relating to gastronomy,traditional history, the Vietnamese people, religion and beliefs, finearts and handicrafts and souvenirs as well as song, dance and musicperformances presented by Vietnamese and Russian students./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
