Hanoi (VNA) – Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and Chairmanof the Central T💟heory Council, on April 21 received Cuban Ambassador to VietnamOrlando Nicoláඣs Hernández Guillén.

At the meeting, the two sides discussedcooperation contents between the HCMA and Cuban partners in the coming time, and agreed to strengthen cooperation in the training ofcadres, especially those are or will hold leading positions at the strategic level. HCMA Director Thang emphasised that the academy is carryingout the training effectively, and is ready to provide training for strategic-level cadres for Cuba. Ambassador Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen shared experiences on topics that the two sides are mutually interested in such as socialism building, socio-economic development, Party building, and theoretical research. The two sides also exchanged views on the content of the Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MoU) between the academy and the Nico Lopez Party School of theCuban Communist Party; the signing of the extended MoU on the occasion of theupcoming visit to Vietnam by Roberto Morales Ojeda, Politburo member andpermanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC)Central Committee. The extended MoU will promote the trainingof senior officials for the Communist Party of Cuba and theexchange of theoretical research and practical issues of mutual interest./.
