Lang Son (VNA) – Deputy Prime MinisterTruong Hoa Binh on September 11 announced the opening of a freight routeconnecting Vietnam and China at the Huu Nghi (Friendship) International BorderGate in Vietnam’s northern province of Lang Son.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the LangSon provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Cong Truong described the opening ofthe route as an important event marking a milestone in promoting exchanges aswell as economic and trade cooperation between Lang Son and China’s Guangxiprovince, contributing to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnershipbetween the two countries.

The route is expected to help Vietnamese and Chinesebusinesses step up their trade ties while maintaining the revenue growth betweenVietnam and China, he said.

Lang Son province has called on competent agenciesof the two countries to coordinate with each other in the management andoperation of the route, thus bringing pragmatic interests to their people andenterprises.-VNA
