Vietnam-Cambodia friendship public security school launched

A Vietnam-Cambodia friendship public security school in Cambodia’s Kongpong S’pu province was inaugurated on January 17 in the presence of Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang.

In hisspeech at the event, Minister Quang, who was on working visit toCambodia on January 16-17, highlighted the traditional solidarity andfriendship between the two countries, saying that this has become aninvaluable treasure of the two nations.

The bilateral relationsand cooperation between Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security andCambodian Ministry of Interior recently has seen fruitful development,Quang said, noting that the two sides worked closely and effectively infighting crimes, contributing to ensuring security and social order ineach nation.

The school is a symbol of the friendship andcooperation in the spirit of mutual support between the two ministries,the Vietnamese officer stressed.

For his part, Cambodian DeputyPrime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Kheng thanked the VietnameseGovernment and the ministry for their support for the construction ofthe school.

He expressed his hope that the school will bedeveloped into a high-quality training centre of Cambodia’spublic-security sector, meeting requirements on ensuring nationalsecurity.

Later the day, Minister Quang visited the VietnameseEmbassy in Cambodia and the Association of Vietnamese Investors inCambodia.-VNA
