Vietnam attends Asia’s defence show in Malaysia

Agencies from the Vietnamese ministries of Defence and Public Security are attending the Defence Services Asia (DSA) show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from April 14-17.

The 14th DSAexhibition and conference has drawn nearly 1,000 defence companies fromover 50 countries around the globe, such as the US, the UK, France,Germany, Italy, Australia, China and South Africa.

Displayed across 41,000 sq.m are the world’s most sophisticatedpieces of hardware and electronic weaponry for land, air and seadefence. Also on view are battlefield healthcare products andtechnology, training and simulation systems, and police and securityperipherals.

The event also includes an ASEAN hallfeaturing achievements made by the defence industries in the bloc’snations, which aims to inspire greater defence-security cooperationamong regional countries.

Within the framework ofDSA, Vietnam also attended the Putrajaya Forum, themed“Strengthening Security and Regional Stability”. It was held by theInstitute of Defence and Security under the Malaysian Ministry ofDefence.

At the forum, Major General Pham Quang Cu,Deputy General Director of the Public Security Ministry’s GeneralDepartment of Logistics and Technology shared Vietnam’s experiencein ensuring security and fighting against transnational crimes.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
