Vietnam always attaches importance to the relations of friendship and cooperation with Japan, taking it as the country’s long-term partner of top importance, a leading Party official said on January 8.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam always attaches importanceto the relations of friendship and cooperation with Japan, taking it as thecountry’s long-term partner of top importance, a leading Party official said onJanuary 8.
During a reception in Hanoi for visiting Japanese Ministerof Internal Affairs and Communications Takaichi Sanae, head of the OrganisationCommission of the Party Central Committee Pham Minh Chinh, who is also aPolitburo member, member of the Committee’s Secretariat and head of the Vietnam– Japan friendship parliamentarians’ group, expressed his delight at the strongand substantial development of the relations between the two countries.
He spoke highly of the minister’s role in and activecontributions to the development of the bilateral strategic partnership, andasked her to support Vietnam in training the human resources and building ane-government.
For her part, the Japanese minister informed her host thather ministry and the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam willintensify cooperation in the time to come, focusing on the ICT, postal servicesand building an e-government. She also pledged that as the minister and withher fine sentiment for Vietnam, she will continue contributing to thedevelopment of the bilateral in the time to come./.
The impressive results of cooperation in trade and investment between Vietnam and Japan in recent years were greatly contributed by the Japan-Vietnam Economic Committee under the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
The Vietnamese embassy in Tokyo hosted a banquet on December 13 to thank Japanese ministries, agencies, businesses and individuals for their support for Vietnam – Japan friendship over the past years.
