Hanoi (VNA) – National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced that it will officially launch a direct route between Hanoi and Phnom Penh on October 27, with a schedule of four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The route will offer a new option for passengers in addition to the current four between Vietnam and Cambodia, including Ho Chi Minh City - Phnom Penh; Hanoi, and HCM City - Siem Reap, and one trans-Indochina route. The total number of flights between the two countries will also increase to 86 flights per week.

Currently, Vietnam Airlines is the only Vietnamese airline operating the direct flight route from Hanoi to Phnom Penh. With this route, passengers traveling from Hanoi to the capital of Cambodia will have their travel time reduced to just over two hours.

The new route is expected to enhance the connection and trade network between the two countries, thus creating great attraction for tourists from Japan, the Republic of Korea (RoK), and European countries who want to travel to Vietnam and other destinations in the region.

🌠 On the occasion, Vietnam Airlines is offering a promotion with round-trip tickets priced from 262 USD for passengers purchasing tickets from now until September 30, with the travel period from October 27 to November 2./.
