Seoul (VNA)🌳 – The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) to expand the presence of Korean food (K-food) in Southeast Asia.

According to aT, this marks the first time the Republic of Korea's state-run enterprise has collaborated with a foreign airline to promote food exports. Under the MoU, the two sides will jointly introduce K-food meals on Vietnam Airlines flights.
The cooperation also includes promotional activities, with Vietnam Airlines set to air Korean culinary advertisements on in-flight entertainment screens and promote K-food at airport lounges. Ahead of the agreement, Vietnam Airlines had already begun trialling Korean food offerings. In May and June, around 20,000 Korean melons were served on domestic business class flights. Beverages such as rice milk, soy milk, and ginseng tea were also featured on international flights between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea./.
