Thanh Hoa (VNA) - President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front(VFF) Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan extended Christmas greetings toCatholic dignitaries and followers in Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh and Thai Binh duringhis visits to the provinces on December 23. 

During his meetings with the parishioners, theVFF leader expressed his hope that the local Catholic communities will continuepromoting solidarity and contributing more to the nation’s development. 

While affirming the Catholic communities’ rolein the country’s development, Nhan called on priests to join hands withparishioners in enhancing the national great unity bloc, protecting theenvironment and responding to climate change.  

Archbishop of the Thanh Hoa Diocese Giuse NguyenChi Linh expressed his delight at the growing ties between the Catholiccommunities and administrations at all levels.  

Bishops in the provinces said the recentapproval of the Law on Belief and Religion will facilitate religiousactivities, especially in education and health care, and make it easy for Catholiccommunities to contribute further to the cause of national construction anddefence.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
