An exhibition portraying Venezuelan women during the nation’s socialist construction in the 21st century opened in Hanoi on October 5. The show features 50 pieces of artwork that shed light on local women’s contributions in various fields including agriculture, industry, technology and politics.
Venezuelan Ambassador to Vietnam Jorge Rondon Uzcategui took the occasion to thank the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) for supporting his agency to organise the exhibition that honours his female compatriots. VWU standing Deputy Head Hoang Thi Ai Nhien said she believes the Venezuelan Embassy will serve as a bridge connecting the two nations’ female citizens.
The exhibition runs through October 15. Vietnam and Venezuela established diplomatic relations in December 1989 and have since made substantial progress in bilateral trade and diplomacy.-VNA
