In Hanoi, activities will include honouring 100 outstanding donors and holding discussions from June 12-14.

World Blood Donor Day is also an occasion to rememberAustrian-American Karl Lansteiner, who discovered blood groups and madeblood transfusions possible.

In the northernprovince of Phu Tho, programmes “The meeting of kind hearts” and“Vietnam’s kind hearts return to the cradle of the nation” will be heldin Viet Tri city on June 12 and 13, respectively.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
