In a newsconference held on April 13 in Ho Chi Minh City, organisers said thatanniversary celebrations will be conducted by the Communist Party ofVietnam’s Central Committee, National Assembly, State President,Government and the Central Fatherland Front.
Theprogramme will span two days; on April 29, the first day, ceremonieswill be held in Hanoi at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the MartyrMonument and in HCM City at the Martyrs’ Cemetery and Ben Duoc MemorialTemple.
Parades and marches in Le Duan Streetand the April 30 Park in HCM City will be held on April 30 andbroadcast live on the Vietnam Television, Radio the Voice of Vietnam andcity television and radio stations.
Attendeesof the myriad of events in HCM City will include leaders of the Party,State and armed forces; those involved in the 1975 Spring Offensive;international delegations; diplomatic representatives; and internationalorganisations.
Nearly 600 local and international reporters have registered to cover the events.
On the night of April 30, a special art programme with 4,400 artists will be held in HCM City.
Fireworks displays are also scheduled across eight spots throughout HCM City.-VNA
