– Various types of education in the US were introduced atan exhibition held by the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on March 16.

During the event, representatives from 65 universities and colleges of the US haveupdated participants on scholarship programmes of the US Government for Vietnamesestudents, scholars and experts.

Speaking at the exhibition, US Consul General in HCM City Mary Tarnowkastressed that education is still one of the leading cooperation priorities in therelations between the two countries.

The number of Vietnamese students pursuing their study in the US has continuouslyincreased over the last 16 years, she said.

At present, around 31,890 Vietnamese students are studying in the US, rankingfifth among the countries with students studying in the country, and first inSoutheast Asian nations.  

Students graduated from US educational institutes have been provided not only specialisedknowledge but also necessary skills such as leadership, group-working, and criticalthinking, which help them become more confident in all labour markets.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
