Standard Chartered has revised up its forecast for Vietnam’s 2024 GDP growth to 6.8% from the previous 6.0%, reflecting the stronger-than-expected expansion in the third quarter of this year.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has decided to widen the USD/VND spot exchange rate band from +/-3% to +/-5%, effective from October 17.

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,089 VND/USD on May 30, down 20 VND from the last working day of previous week (May 27).

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,175 VND per USD on November 23, down 4 VND from the last working day of the previous week (November 20).

The State Bank of Vietnam kept the daily reference exchange rate on January 7 unchanged from the last working day of previous week (January 5) at 22,829 VND/USD.
