US Pacific Fleet Commander visits Da Nang

Chairman of Da Nang city’s People’s Committee Van Huu Chien expressedhis hope that Admiral Harris will continue supporting Vietnam in generaland Da Nang in particular in the fields of security and defence.

He also informed the guest on the city’s economic and social achievements.

Admiral Harris thanks the municipal authorities for the warm welcomeas well as the city’s active support of Vietnam-US defence cooperationactivities in the past years.

The two sides took theoccasion to discuss proposals aimed at strengthening the bilateralrelation between the two countries.

The same day, the US Pacific Fleet Commander also paid a visit to the Vietnam Navy’s Region C High Command.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
