Uncle Ho’s birthday celebrated nationwide

In the President’s hometown in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district,central Nghe An province, the annual Sen Village Festival was officiallyopened on May 17 and will run until May 19.

Aspart of the festival, a photo exhibition on the Party and Uncle Ho wasorganised with 96 pictures on show, focusing on two topics, “PresidentHo Chi Minh and the work of building and setting right the Party” and“Soviet Nghe Tinh in 1930-1931”.

The same day,other events took place in Uncle Ho’s hometown, including a volleyballcompetition, a youth camping festival and kite flying.

In Ho Chi Minh City, an exhibition named “Ho Chi Minh – a brightexample of morality” is being held in Lam Son Park, district 1to give the city’s people and visitors a chance to learn more about thegreat leader’s simple lifestyle, principles and patriotism.

In the city’s Youth Cultural House on the same day, anotherexhibition is running until May 27 with the theme “Ho Chi Minh, whosename is the most beautiful”.

Also on the occasion,the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee on May 17 launched a treeplanting festival with the aim to plant 1 million trees this year.

The southern province of Tien Giang also marks Uncle Ho’s birthday with a tree planting festival.

Meanwhile, in the southern province of Vinh Long, the province’sYouth Union held a ceremony to honour 135 young people, who are the bestin implementing the campaign “Study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s moralexample”.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
