Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s U18 football team defeated Brunei 8-1 in the squad's firstmatch at the 201🔥7 AFF U-18 Youth Championship.

In the first half,Xuan Tu, Hong Son and Van Cong scored three goals for the Vietnamese team.However, their rivals were also secured a goal from a mistake of Vietnam’sgoalkeeper.

Five more goals wereearned in the second half by Xuan Tu, Van Toi, Khac Khiem and Sy Hoang, settlinga victory of 8-1 for U18 Vietnam.

The squad, led by head coach Hoang Anh Tuan, will face thePhilippines in its next 🥀match, who were beaten bℱy Brunei in the opener.

At the tournament, U18Vietnam are in the group with Indonesia, Brunei, the Philippines, NewZealand and host Myanmar.-VNA
