Two models to compete in Asia Contest

Models Phan Hoang Thu and Nguyen Dieu Linh will represent Vietnam at the 2013 Asia Supermodel Contest in Nanning, China from July 1-15.
Models Phan Hoang Thu and Nguyen Dieu Linh will represent Vietnam at the2013 Asia Supermodel Contest in Nanning, China from July 1-15.

The two models were selected by Elite Model Vietnam with the approval of the country’s Department of Performing Arts.

Thu, a fashion design graduate who is 1.72m tall, was awarded firstprize and crowned Miss billing at 2012r’s Future Star Model SeekingContest.

Linh, also 1.72m tall, graduated from the Hai PhongVocational College of Tourism and Service. She won second prize and wascrowned Miss Photogenic in the Future Star event last year.

The 2013 Asia Supermodel Contest will draw contestants from 15 Asiancountries including China, Japan, the Republic Korea, Thailand andIndia.

It will be broadcast on CCTV channel to an audience of 400 million people in China, Vietnam and Thailand.
Last year, Vietnamese model Tran Ngoc Lan Khue won the bronze cup.
