Hanoi (VNA) - Truong Thi Kim Tuyen won a bronze medalat the World Taekwondo Grand Prix Final’s Ivory Coast leg on December2.

The Vietnamesedefeated Rukiye Yildirim from Turkey 27-17in the women’s 49kg category third-place play-off to take the podium.

Earlier, sheovercame Tijana Bogdanovic 25-12 and Vanja Stankovic 11-8, both of Serbia,in the qualifiers. Tuyen lost 15-17 to Kim So Hui fromthe Republic of Korea, in the semi-final.

PanipakWongpattanakit of Thailand took the gold after beating Hui in the final.

It is Tuyen’ssecond medal at this year’s Grand Prix, after she won a silver medal atthe Morocco leg in September.-VNA
