Hanoi (VNA) – Russia’s largest truck manufacturer Kamaz plans to launch aserial assembly of trucks at the company's plant in Vietnam in 2020, said KamazDirector General Sergey Kogogin.
Speakingwith reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International EconomicForum (SPIEF 2019), he underlined that Vietnam is a very important market forKamaz.
Russiannews agency TASS quoted Kogogin as saying that Kamaz has a plant in Vietnam andmanufacture at current stage. This year, the company is preparing for launchinga serial assembly in 2020, he added.
The establishment of a free trade zone between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will increase the two sides’ two-way trade from 4 billion USD at present to 8-10 billion USD.
