Trade and service activities resume in Binh Thuan

Trade and service enterprises in the central province of Binh Thuan have been permitted to resume operations from April 27 as the COVID-19 pandemic is largely under control, under a decision from the provincial People’s Committee.

BinhThuan (VNA) - Trade and service enterprises in the central province ofBinh Thuan have been permitted to resume operations from April 27 as the COVID-19pandemic is largely under control, under a decision from the provincialPeople’s Committee.

Lottery agents and retailers; hotels and accommodation establishments; beverageshops, restaurants, bars, sports training areas, tourist attractions, and relicsites; and inter-provincial public passenger transport services can resume operationsbut must strictly abide by guidelines onsocial distancing and take relevant safety measures.

Tourist accommodation establishments wishing to re-open must notify the people’scommittees of districts, towns and Phan Thiet city and the provincial Departmentof Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Health before resuming operationsso that medical supervision measures can be implemented.

The provincial people’s committee has also requested localities to call on people tonot go out if it’s not necessary and to continue social distancing measures.

Festivals, religious ceremonies, sporting tournaments, gatherings in public places and stadiums, unnecessary events, andnon-essential business services are still prohibited in the province.

The provincial People’s Committee has also ordered that urgent assistance be givento people who are facing difficulties from the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to the provincial steering committee for COVID-19 prevention and control,as of April 26, the province had not recorded any new infections for 45 consecutive days.
