Thanh Hoa (VNA) – The central province of Thanh Hoaheld a ceremony on May 11 to re-bury 21 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteersoldiers and experts repatriated from Laos.

The ceremony at the Dong Tam Martyrs’ Cemeteryin Ba Thuoc district was also attended by representatives of the Lao provinceof Houaphanh, the Vietnamese Government, Military Region 4, the Ministry ofDefence, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and localresidents.

In his speech, Vice Chairman of the Thanh HoaPeople’s Committee Pham Dang Quyen expressed his gratitude to the heroicmartyrs, who laid down their lives during national liberation wars andinternational missions in Laos.

He also thanked authorities, armed forces andpeople of Laos, especially those in Houaphanh province, for their wholeheartedsupport to the repatriation of martyr remains.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
