ThanhHoa (VNA) - A 25-year-old man was arrested after committing a murder at DongLuong primary school in Lang Chanh district, the north-central province ofThanh Hoa, on May 3.
Accordingto Vice Chairman of the district People’s Committee Le Duc Chung, around 9:00 am on May 3, a young and unknown man jumped over the fence of the school and brokeinto the school, then stabbed pupils playing in the school yard with a knife.
As a result, a fifth-grade pupil was killed and four others injured. The man alsostabbed a teacher when she rushed to stop him, and then fled the scene.
Immediately afterwards, authorities mobilized all forces to hospitalize the injuredand hunt the murderer. The local police captured Do Minh Chieu, born in 1994,from Coc village, Dong Luong commune, Lang Chanh district.
The Supreme People’s Procuracy said on April 5 that it has ratified charges against a former police officer and a former prosecutor involved in a wrongful conviction in a high-profile murder case.
