Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – Tourist arrivals to Thailand rose6.3 percent to 2.8 million in May. 

Permanent Secretary for Tourism and Sports PongpanuSvetarundra said the majority of visitors last month were from East Asia,followed by Europe, South Asia, and the United States. 

Pongpanu said the Chinese continued to top the list of internationalarrivals to Thailand. 

For 2018, the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports aims toachieve a 10 percent year-on-year growth in the number of visitors, or around37 million to 38 million.-NNT/VNA
