Bangkok (NNT/VNA) -Thailand, as a member of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), will host the ASEMHigh-Level Meeting on Marine Sustainability in Bangkok on March 7 and 8.
The opening ceremony of the meetingwill be presided over by Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwinai.
The meeting will provide a platformfor participants from Asia, Europe, international organizations and otherrelevant agencies to exchange knowledge and best practices on the promotion ofmarine sustainability to contribute to the attainment of Goal 14 (Life BelowWater) of the United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals.
The meeting will also be held inaccordance with the pledge delivered by Thai Prime Minister Gen. PrayutChan-o-cha during the 12th ASEM Summit on October 18 and 19, 2018, in Brussels,Belgium.-VNA
