The Presidentof the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) Worawi Makudi hasrevealed that it is time for Thailand to place its bid to host the 2023FIFA Women’s World Cup competition. Thailand is highly capable, andpossesses many stadiums in Bangkok and other provinces that are ready toserve the international competition, the president says.
Thisinitiative will have to be further discussed with the Minister ofTourism and Sports, Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, and with the governmentprior to placing the bid, in compliance with designated regulations.
Theupcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup will take place in France in 2019,while the bid for the next host country for the 2023's competition willtake place in early 2016.-VNA
