Thailand offers COVID-19 booster shots

The Institute of Dermatology of Thailand is offering a COVID-19 vaccination service using the Gen2-Bivalent Pfizer vaccine at its headquarters on Ratchawithi Road, Bangkok Post reported.

Bangkok (VNA) - TheInstitute of Dermatology of Thailand is offering a COVID-19 vaccination serviceusing the Gen2-Bivalent Pfizer vaccine at its headquarters on Ratchawithi Road,Bangkok Post reported.

The service is available forThai citizens, expats and migrant workers aged 12 years and above. This is abooster shot for those who received their latest vaccine dose over 4 monthsago.

The service is available fromApril 5–8 and April 10–11, from 9am–3pm, or until further notice.

Pfizer’s new bivalentvaccines (grey cap) and the former Pfizer vaccines are available for peopleaged over 12, while the orange-capped Pfizer will be provided to children aged5–11.

AstraZeneca vaccines are alsoavailable for those above 18 years old.

Advance bookings can be arranged online via//covid19.iod.go.th/vaccine at least one day prior.

The Department of DiseaseControl, under Thai Public Health Ministry, reported that between March 26 andApril 1 the country recorded 167 new COVID-19 cases or 24 cases a day on average.

The number of weekly deathsfell to three cases, the department said, adding that there were also 30 patients with lunginfections and 21 cases𒁏 who required oxygen supplements./.
