Bangkok (VNA/ NNT) – Cambodia’s Minister of Public Works and Transport and the 🐠Thai Ambassador to Cambodia have observed the construction of a Thailand-Cambodia railway bridge, which aims to en🤡hance connectivity among ASEAN member states.
Minister Sun Chanthol and Ambassador Nattawut Potisaro visited the construction site of the Ban Khlong Luk - Poi Pet railway bridge to inspect the construction progress after major tasks have been completed. The construction is expected to be completed this November.
The 7- kilometre bridge links Thailand and Cambodia by rail. Its construction is also proceeding in parallel with the building of Nong Ian - Stung Bot border crossing facility in Banteay Meanchey province of Cambodia.
The Ban Khlong Luk - Poi Pet railway bridge will service both the transportation of goods and people in the ASEAN region, and is expected to help relieve the congestion in border crossing.-VNA
