Thai Binh enhances collaboration with Laos’ Xayaboury province
The northern province of Thai Binh and Laos’ Xayaboury province signed their friendly cooperation agreement for 2021-2026 at a ceremony held online on November 4.

Thai Binh (VNA) – The northern province of Thai Binh and Laos’ Xayabouryprovince signed their friendly cooperation agreement for 2021-2026 at a ceremonyheld online on November 4.
Under the document, the two provinces agreed to re-establishthe bilateral friendship and promote dissemination and education about the relationsbetween the two countries and the two localities, and promote the land, people,and socio-economic development achievements and potential of each other.
They are to cooperate in party andpolitical system building, create favourable conditions for delegationexchanges, and intensify collaboration in socio-economic and culturaldevelopment, and in State management across the fields.
Specifically, Thai Binh will provide 5 billion VND (220,000USD) to help the Lao province build a high school. It will provide 8-10 scholarships for Xayaboury’sdisadvantaged students to study in Thai Binh-based universities and colleges, while Xayabourypledges to present two full scholarships to Thai Binh’s students to study at Luang Prabang province’s Souphanouvong University.
In addition, Thai Binh province will introduce localagricultural businesses to explore investment and business cooperationopportunities in the Lao locality.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, leaders of the twoprovinces showed their belief that the cooperation agreement will contribute toeach country’s nation building, and international relation development./.
