Da Nang (VNA)✅ – The central coastal city of Da Nang expects to host 210,000 visitors during Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, an increase of 16 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

80,000 of the total visits are expected to be made by international holiday-makers, a hike of nearly 16 percent, while the number of domestic vacationers is forecasted at 135,000 people, rising close to 17 percent.
A line-up of cultural activities are scheduled during the Tet holiday to attract domestic and foreign tourists such as a photo and art exhibition, the spring flower festival, film screenings, art performances and firework displays. The city will become even more vibrant with stellar performances expected by La Fine Equipe band from France and Manipuri dancing troupe from India.
In addition to holding a special welcome ceremony for the first foreign tourists setting foot in Da Nang on the first day of the lunar year, the city has also launched a number of promotional programmes and tours with special discounts to lure more tourists. Some famous destinations around the city have been decorated for Tet such as Ba Na Hills Resort, the Museum of Cham Sculpture and the Marble Mountains.-VNA
