Tay Ninh holds memorial ceremony for martyrs repatriated from Cambodia

The remains of the 156 martyrs were repatriated during the 24th mission of the team K73 under the provincial Military Command.

Tay Ninh (VNA) – A cere𝓡mony to hand over the remains of 156 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Cambodia was held at the Binh Hiep International Border Gate in Binh Hiep commune, the southern province of Tay Ninh,🧜 on July 18.

The remains of the 156 martyrs were repatriated during the 24th mission of the team K73 under the provincial Military Command. During its 24 missions, the team found and collected 2,933 martyrs' remains. Of that, 168 sets of remains have been identified.

Speaking at the event, Pham Tan Hoa, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, affirmed Tay Ninh authorities and people's determination in searching and repatriating the remains of fallen soldiers.
He thanked the Government, army and people of Cambodia, especially the authorities of Svay Rieng, Phnom Penh, Battambang and Pailin provinces, for their support for the search operation. The remains were reburied at the Vinh Hung – Tan Hung Martyr Cemetery in the province's Vinh Hung Commune./.
