Da Nang (VNA) – The Vietnam MaritimeSearch and Rescue Coordination Centre for Zone 2 in the central coastal city ofDa Nang has helped save the life of a Philippine sailor who had some healthproblems.
On January 16, the centre received the Seaborneagency’s news regarding sailor Eliseo Jr. Burton Estrabon on board the Liberianship Maribor en route from Singapore to China, who suffered a stroke which lefthis left side paralysed.
The centre provided instructions on first aidfor the Philippine sailor via the Seaborne agency and dispatched SAR274 shipand medical workers to bring him ashore.
Later the same day, the sailor was taken to DaNang Vinmec hospital for further treatment.-VNA
