A collection of over 100 traditional artefacts of the S’tieng ethnic group is on display at the S’tieng Ethnic Cultural Conservation Area in Bom Bo commune (Dong Nai province). All the items are everyday tools that reflect the S’tieng people’s flexible and creative application of indigenous knowledge, showcasing rich historical and cultural values deeply rooted in their traditions.
To preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of the S’tieng ethnic group, a peace-praying ceremony has recently been revived with the support of cultural authorities, local communities, and S’tieng artisans. The event brought together cultural practitioners and villagers to recreate time-honoured rituals, folk performances, and traditional games in an authentic and meaningful way.
To preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of the S’tieng ethnic group, Binh Phuoc Province has established the S’tieng Ethnic Culture Conservation Area in Bom Bo hamlet, Binh Minh Commune, Bu Dang District. This site is a testament to the glorious revolutionary history and vibrant local culture, serving as a highlight for tourism and exploration in the region.
Binh Phuoc province approved a plan to preserve the traditional brocade weaving of S’tieng ethnic group three years ago. But most of local artisans are hardly managing to live on the trade.
