Hanoi (VNA) – State President Luong Cuong and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Hanoi on September 2 afternoon for their attendance at a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the world people's victory over fascism and their working visit to China, at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping.
The delegation includes Nguyen Trong Nghia, Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education, and Mass Mobilisation; Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son; and Chairman of the Presidential Office Le Khanh Hai, among others.
In the context of the deep, substantive, and comprehensive development of relations between the two Parties and the two countries, the State leader’s three-day working trip is an important event of great significance.
The trip, the first to China by President Cuong as head of state, coincides with the 75th anniversary of Vietnam - China diplomatic ties and the Year of Vietnam - China Humanistic Exchanges. It is expected to solidify the stable, substantive, and effective Vietnam – China relationship.

The trip is expected to strengthen Vietnam’s partnerships with important partners in the region and the world, showcase its achievements after 80 years of independence, and spread a positive and reliable image of the country and its people.
State President Luong Cuong highlighted the importance of promoting the role of the Vietnamese and Chinese legislatures in creating favourable legal frameworks and policies for cooperation in priority fields, particularly major, symbolic projects such as three standard-gauge railway routes connecting the two countries.
