A football tournament of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU)’s chapter in the National University of Laos kicked off on March 20 in Vientiane on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the HCYU (March 26, 1931-2024).

Vientiane (VNA) – A football tournamentof the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU)’s chapter in the NationalUniversity of Laos kicked off on March 20 in Vientiane on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the HCYU (March 26,1931-2024).

Thisannual activity aimed to promote the physical exercise and sports movement amongVietnamese students studying at the university.

The eventalso provided an opportunity for students to enhance mutual understanding, and contributedto popularising the movement of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's moral example among young people. 

This year’s tournament sees theparticipation of five teams.

The final match and the closing ceremony were scheduledto be held on March 26./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
