Spanish Flamenco dancers to entertain

Five dancers from Spanish arts troupe Bellet Cristina Hoyos will perform in Hanoi and HCM City next week as part of activities to celebrate Spain's National Day in Vietnam.
Five dancers from Spanish arts troupe Bellet Cristina Hoyos willperform in Hanoi and HCM City next week as part of activities tocelebrate Spain's National Day in Vietnam.

Themed Flamenco Verses, the performance will feature verses bySpanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca set to dance, including excerpts fromthe three famed ballets Trip to the South, Gypsy Ballads and CanteJondo's Poem.

The shows will take place on Oct. 12 at theHanoi Opera House and Friday at the HCM City Opera House. Free ticketscan be obtained from the Spanish Embassy in Hanoi, or the Office forEconomic and Commercial Affairs in HCM City.

The dancetroupe is among the leading Flamenco groups in Spain, which wasestablished in 1989 by famous ballet dancer, choreographer and actressCristine Hoyos Panadero.

Panadero herself played animportant role during the inauguration and closing ceremonies of the1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona./.
