Hanoi (VNA) - Maj. Gen. To An Xo, Chief of the Ministry of PublicSecurity’s Office and its spokesman, has said that security and order at theongoing 13th National Party Congress has been maintained. 

In aninterview granted to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA)’s reporters on the sidelinesof the congress on January 29, Xo, who is also a standing member of thesub-committee for security and order for the 13th National PartyCongress, said public security forces adopted synchronised measures early on, frompreparations for the Party congresses at all levels to examining the political qualificationsof personnel for Party congresses and delegates to the 13th NationalParty Congress.

In cyberspaceand the borderline, police cracked down on activities that distort, incite, andsabotage the Party, State, and the congress, as well as illegal entries, tomitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the community.

Amid thepandemic, public security forces worked closely with medical and armed forcesto localise affected areas and quarantine those who had close contact withconfirmed COVID-19 patients.

He addedthat ministry’s leaders regularly inspected and encouraged officers andsoldiers to fulfil their assigned tasks.

Personnelwork is always an important agenda item at National Party Congresses, he said. Membersof the Party Central Committee will be elected by delegates, while members ofthe Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat will be decided bythe Party Central Committee.

Xoexpressed his belief that delegates will choose outstanding Party members withpolitical mettle, creativity, and moral virtue to the Party Central Committee.The 13th Party Central Committee will also elect a united, creativePolitburo and Secretariat to bring Party resolutions into life./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
